Julie Green-Jones, Managing Director.Julie

Julie has been with the company since 1989 becoming Operations and Legal Services Director in 1999. She successfully oversees the management of over 200 bailiffs and supporting office personnel. She is responsible for writing and implementing many policies and procedures for bailiffs and staff. She became a shareholder in 2002 and is extensively involved in the growth and advancement of the company. She has developed a strong board of Directors and has an excellent working relationship with her co directors and management team. She has great motivational skills and has a flair for getting the best out of her staff. Julie ensures that the individuality of each client is encompassed within the working practices of the bailiffs and staff allocated to each particular contract. She provides clear and concise operational direction to ensure that the needs, quality, expectations and collection rates of all Rossendales strategic partners are met. Julie is President of the ESA (Enforcement Services Association) having been an elected member for many years. She is also a member of the Associations examination committee and a member of the Institute of Legal Executives. Julie was nominated both “The HSBC Business Woman of the Year” and  ”The Unique Women in Business Award” sponsored by Nat West. She was recently awarded the prestigious Chamber of Commerce 2008 “Woman in Business”.

Mike Shang, Business Development Director

Mike’s career with Rossendales began in 2000 on a part time basis becoming full time as our Client Services Executive in 2002. Following his success in that role he joined the Board as Business Development Director in 2003. Mike began his career in Local Government in 1985 with Rochdale MBC progressing to head of Revenues Support Services at Blackburn with Darwen BC having responsibility for court services, sundry income, cashiers and IT support. Mike’s diverse role covers the external and internal development of the business, including overall responsibility for existing clients, new business, the identification of problems, the provision of solutions and trouble shooting.

In 2004 Mike was elected to the Executive Council of the Enforcement Services Association, where he is also the Publicity Officer, he been a college lecturer for the IRRV since 1996, a corporate member since 1995 and also currently an examiner. He has been on the Lancashire & Cheshire IRRV executive since 2001 and is the immediate past President of the Association, following a period as Honorary Secretary.

Dave Chapman, Client Services Director

Dave joined the company in February 2004 as Client Services Executive with the prime role to work closely with our clients, focusing on performance management and ensuring contractual compliance. This client facing role was also combined with a shared responsibility to develop new areas of business, including the launch of the debt collection company, Rossendales Collect. Following his success in both roles he was appointed to the Board in November 2005. Prior to joining Rossendales Dave began his career in Local Government in 1985 joining Rossendale BC where he held the position of Senior Recovery Officer leaving in 1995 to join Hyndburn BC as Assistant Local Taxation Manager. In 1999 he joined Bury MBC as Revenues Manager responsible for all aspects of Council Tax, NNDR, and Sundry Income. His key areas of responsibility now are maintaining and increasing client satisfaction levels, working on all business tenders and contributing to the overall development of the business.

Dave is a corporate member of the IRRV and lectures in the Law of Council Tax, Non Domestic Rates, Local Authority Administration Framework and Revenues Administration to IRRV Technicians on various IRRV national courses throughout the country including Preston, Bury and Darlington Colleges. Dave is very active within the IRRV, being the first and only National Council Member to be elected from the bailiff profession. He is a National Speaker at conferences and past President for the Lancashire and Cheshire Association.
