Mike Shang, Managing Director

Mike began a career in Local Government in 1985 initially with Rochdale MBC before progressing to Head of Revenues Support Services at Blackburn with Darwen BC having responsibility for court services, sundry income, cashiers and IT support.

Mike’s career with Rossendales began in 2000 on a part time consultancy basis, becoming full time as Client Services Executive in 2002. Following his success in that role he was invited to join the Board in 2003 as Business Development Director.

Mike has recently been elected Vice President of the Enforcement Services Association, where he is also the Publications Editor, he has been a college lecturer for the IRRV since 1996, a corporate member since 1995 and also currently an examiner. He has been on the Lancashire & Cheshire IRRV executive since 2001 and is the immediate past President of the Association, following a period as Honorary Secretary.

In 2007 following a restructuring of the Board, Mike became a shareholder and took on the new role of Operations Director, which covered the external and internal development of the business, including overall responsibility for bailiff operations and systems, the identification of problems, the provision of solutions and trouble-shooting.

In 2010 Mike was promoted to Managing Director and is now responsible for the strategic planning and ongoing development of the business.
